Off the beaten track - relaxed quiet country atmosphere
Bushlands Tourist Park lies beside the rich gold bearing Long Creek in the historic village of Windeyer, in the picturesque
hills of Central West NSW. Situated on six acres, visitors can relax under leafy shade trees in this tranquil grassy
haven and enjoy watching the abundant
bird life and local native animals.
Bushlands is a pet friendly park, but dogs should be kept on a
lead at all times and their owners must
clean up after them.
Bushlands has en-suite and standard cabins, powered sites, and camping areas. There is a sheltered camp
kitchen, which has an electric barbecue, microwave and fridge, and plenty of tables and seating. The large amenities
block houses toilets, showers and laundry facilities, plus an extensive
library of books and magazines, with a range of board games to entertain.
The shop is well stocked and open long hours, with general groceries and confectionery, ice creams, ice, and gas bottle
service. Internet access is available at the shop and gold fossicking equipment can be hired.
Opposite the shop is a wonderful historic dance hall
with stage and kitchen, which can be used by groups for meetings and get-togethers. It also serves as the recreation room, with
table tennis and pool tables.
Next door is the Gold & Fleece Hotel, where the atmosphere is always warm and friendly and great meals are served from
Thursday to Sunday. Bushlands Tourist Park is just 40km from Mudgee, famous for top quality wines, olives, and honey.
Wine tasting tours to a variety of unique wineries can be arranged through the Mudgee Tourist Information Centre. Mudgee has
many stately old buildings, a popular café district, boutique shopping and fine cuisine. The ideally situated Mudgee Observatory
is only a 15 minute drive from Bushlands and offers a unique astronomical experience to visitors. Not far away are the old Gold
towns of Hargraves, Hill End, and Gulgong with its amazing museum and Prince of Wales Opera House.
From Sydney the drive takes about three and a half hours via the Blue Mountains and
up from Lithgow through spectacular scenery, passing popular fishing spots on Lake
Windamere.
Our managers will be sure to give you a warm welcome and the aim of us all at Bushlands is to make
your stay as enjoyable as possible and that you and your friends will want to return.
